About Me

Mrs. Tuorto is beginning her 20th year at St. Benedict's Prep.  She has taught biology, physics, and earth science, and currently teaches the following courses:
Meteorology;
Environmental Science;
Secret Lives of Birds; and
Culinary Arts & Science.
She also serves as the Assistant Headmaster for Academics, is a co-moderator for the National Honor Society, and also a co-moderator of Fr. Timothy Dwyer.

Mrs. Tuorto holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Atmospheric Science.  Her interests in meteorology include severe storms, lake effect, and forecasting.

She is a volunteer with the NYNJ Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force to monitor invasive plant species in forests and enjoys other environmental activities such as native plant and sustenance gardening and birding.
